What the gorilla emoji means
🦍 (gorilla, Emoji 3.0) is strength and size — “gorilla mode”, gym jokes, “800-pound gorilla” — and the animal itself. It is often confused with 🐵 (monkey face) and 🦧 (orangutan, Emoji 12.0). 💪 and 🍌 are its usual companions; the monkey emoji guide covers the smaller primates and the three wise monkeys.
